The chairperson (Vorsitz) of the AStA is mainly responsible for sustaining productive working conditions for the members of AStA who work in various ressorts (Referate).
Additionally, I officially represent the student body of FH Münster, act as a spokesperson for the whole AStA, and appoint the members of AStA.
My personal concern is to strengthen the student self-administration at FH Münster by promoting the students' participation, offering high quality extracurricular events and supporting the representation of interests of underprivileged groups.

The Referat’s task is to ensure that the budget in the AStA is adhered to on the basis of the legal framework and regulations, and to control the finances of the individual student councils.
Personal concern: To represent the students in the AStA through my Referat and to act on their behalf. To support the student councils and their financiers in drawing up the budget.
University PoliticsYannick Janßen
Study: Social Workhopo@astafh.de
In this Referat I want to give students an understanding of university politics in and around the FH Münster.
The kind of questions that are answered in the Referat für Hochschulpolitik are for example, what are Fachschaften?, how do meetings of the Student Parliament (StuPa) take place? and how can I get involved in the Senate?
If you’re interested and would like to change the structures of the student body at the university, would like to engage politically in the university, or you simply have questions regarding the commitees (e.g. StuPa, Senate, etc.), then I am the right person to contact.

The tasks in my Referat mainly involve networking between different interest groups and committees. I am in contact with the student councils (dt. Fachschaftsräte) and their chairpersons and act as a contact person for all student concerns and problems.
The preparation and forwarding of important informations plays a not inconsiderable role. I also manage and plan the Fachschaftsrätekonferenz (FSRK), which takes place regularly during the lecture period and is attended by representatives of the student councils. Information is exchanged at the meetings of the FSRK and we work together to address the concerns of the students.
In cooperation with the Referat für Hochschulpolitik, I am also responsible for working towards successful communication with the student members of the university committees. In general, my department can be regarded as a „link“ between the AStA and the various university committees.
Other areas of responsibility include coordinating the greetings of the first-year students and the „welcome gifts“, which are generally known as Ersti bags (dt. Ersti-Taschen).
Social PolicyJonas Barthel

The Referat für Sozialpolitik (Social policy) takes care of the social issues of the student body at the FH Münster. The main issue here is the circumstances under which we all study.
Studying should be possible for everyone, regardless of social status. And there are also factors in your studies that stand in the way of a promising degree.
Important topics are, for example, study financing, more precisely BAföG, part-time jobs or student assistants, and the housing situation in Münster and the surrounding area.
Personally, I would like to work in the interests of the student body to ensure that you can all complete your studies without negative social influences and of course also promote positive social influences on the other hand.
Environment and SustanibilityKim Janke
In this Referat I want to speak up for sustainability at the FH Münster.
I am working on this task by following two approaches. On the one hand I try to encourage the Fachhochschule and other related institutions to make more conscious and responsible decisions.
On the other hand I want to give students the opportunity to learn more about sustainability and how to imply it in your daily routines. Therefore I am organizing different events, like talks or workshops.
If you have any questions or suggestions, you are welcome to message me.

In this Referat I’m organizing different projects and events to show off the beauty and importance of cultural education.
I’m not only looking forward to cover the interests of students, who are already into cultural events and projects, but also to reach those, who haven’t gotten in touch with culture, excited about this stuff.

The Equal Opportunities Referat is there for students who are impaired in their studies for social, sexual, physical or gender-related reasons. The aim is to enable everyone to study smoothly under fair and equal conditions.
My personal concern is also to bring these groups together and to offer an exchange among like-minded people. There is no place for discrimination of any kind in our time and at FH Münster and I would like to open up all the offers made available by the University to those affected and provide assistance in every respect.

As Referat for International Students, my main concern is for you to feel welcome, listened, and to feel like an important part of the FH Münster. The other Referats would also be at your disposition to help you with the questions and proposals you may have.
There will be events where we can meet with other international students, who also come from all around the world. It is an opportunity to learn from the things we have in common, and from our differences.
I hope that we can create a network of friends that help each other, and last long past the studies.
Public RelationsLuisa Kohnen
The Referat für Öffentlichkeitsarbeit (publicity) is responsible for the appearence of the AStA in the Medias. The purpose is to supervise communication channels, spread information and the making the AStA-Calender.

The Autonomous Referat for Queer Students is working for all FH students, that identify as queer or belong to the LGBTIQA+ community. This includes for example: Lesbian, gay, bisexual or pansexual people, non-binary or intersex students, asexual and aromantic people.
The Referat is working towards more visibility of diversity and queerness in the student body and representation of queer interests spanning different departments. Queer students can participate, share their needs and help determine what the Queer Referat should do for the community!
